FATHER Don't let me alone

This game is the result of one week of work for the Brackeys Game Jam 2022.1. FATHER DON'T LET ME ALONE is a Platform and Puzzle 2D game which put two characters in the spotlight in a dark environment.

Father Don't let me alone is a platform game about hidden or unreal elements that can be revealed with light.

Context :

You play as a father along with his son. The son, scared by the world, doesn't distinguish his fears and the reality. His imagination gets the upper hand over him.

Like a child scared without his night light, you will guide and reassure him through many challenges, and prove him that life isn't that scary.

Gameplay :

FDLMA is played with Mouse and Keyboard. While moving with the keyboard, you can move your flashlight with the mouse. By Illuminating different area, you will be able to reveal hidden elements that might help you find the way, or revealing a different aspect of living forms.

You play as the father and protecting his son. Your son will follow you, at a slower pace, and try mimicking every movement you do. Be aware of not going too far from your son or he will start to be really scared !

• Order your son : E
• Interact : F
• Pause : Escape
• Move Flashlight : Mouse
• Lock/Unlock Flashlight : Left Click

Known Bugs (Gamejam version):

• At the level where you go back to the left after falling from the bridge (where you open many doors), if you get killed in this area, you will get softlocked. (the respawn point isn't well placed)
• You can jump a lot if in front of boxes.
• At the end (final scene), pausing/unpausing allow you to move again.
